Proof of Jesus Christ

Proof of Jesus Christ stands to help the lost to see the Reality and the Hope of Jesus Christ.

If life has left you with more questions than answers, if it feels like most of the time there is no hope, if you wake up every morning and wonder how you'll make it through another day, or worse, that you're sentenced to another day, please know that there is Peace, Meaningfulness and Purpose through Jesus Christ.

This is a new web site aimed at bringing those three things, Peace, Meaningfulness and Purpose, to others in need.

I spent a great deal of my life searching for purpose and meaning.

I searched for any reason to NOT believe in our Father. But all I kept coming back to were reasons TO believe. I also spent the majority of my life living the way I wanted to, not thinking there were repercussions for my poor, self centered and selfish choices. That is NOT how life is. There is a Divine Justice in the world.

Ever heard the saying "We reap what we sow."? You can take that much further.
"We reap what we sow, later than we sow, more than we sow."

For the moment, I'm focusing on the proof of His existence. I am a child of science, of logic. Through prophesy, science and that still small voice in our heart, I KNOW He's there.

(I am open to ideas, suggestion and help on how to proceed with this site. Please email me with any suggestions you may have.)

Itemized list of points proving the existence of Jesus Christ.

Here is a list of some of the historical and biblical points that are often cited as evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ. It's important to note that the historical evidence for Jesus is a topic of ongoing debate among scholars. Some people believe that these points are compelling evidence, while others may interpret them differently.

They provide strong evidence that Jesus was a real historical figure, who did indeed, exist. And they do provide evidence that supports the historical existence of Jesus.

It is important to note that there is no single piece of evidence that can definitively prove the existence of Jesus. However, taken together, the combination of the New Testament, non-Christian sources, the early Christian church, and the archaeological record provides strong evidence that Jesus was a real, living and breathing, man.

A list of points proving the existence of Jesus Christ:

• Biblical Accounts: The New Testament of the Bible, written by various authors, contains several accounts of Jesus' life, teachings, crucifixion, and resurrection.

• The New Testament: The New Testament is a collection of 27 books that tell the story of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. While some scholars have questioned the historicity of some of the events in the New Testament, most scholars agree that it is a reliable source of information about Jesus.

• Flavius Josephus: The Jewish historian Flavius Josephus, in his work "Antiquities of the Jews," mentions Jesus Christ in passing, referring to him as "the brother of James" and as "a wise man" who performed "surprising deeds." However, some scholars argue that this passage may have been altered by later Christian scribes.

• Tacitus: The Roman historian Tacitus, in his work "Annals," makes a reference to Christus (Christ) and his execution under Pontius Pilate during the reign of Tiberius. This confirms the historical context of Jesus' crucifixion.

• Pliny the Younger: In his letter to Emperor Trajan, Pliny the Younger, a Roman magistrate, mentions Christians worshiping Jesus Christ as a deity.

• Suetonius: The Roman historian Suetonius refers to disturbances among the Jews in Rome, instigated by a figure named Chrestus (a possible reference to Christ) during the reign of Emperor Claudius.

• Archaeological Findings: Some archaeological discoveries have unearthed artifacts related to early Christianity, providing evidence of its existence and spread.

• The Archaeological Record: While there is no archaeological evidence that can definitively prove the existence of Jesus, there are some archaeological finds that support the New Testament accounts. For example, archaeologists have found the remains of a first-century synagogue in Capernaum, which is mentioned in the Gospels. Also, archaeologists have found the remains of a first-century synagogue in Nazareth, which is believed to be the place where Jesus grew up.

• Early Christian Texts: Apart from the New Testament, there are several early Christian texts and letters that mention Jesus Christ and the beliefs of his followers.

• Jewish Talmud: Some references in the Jewish Talmud indirectly acknowledge the existence of Jesus and the early Christian movement, albeit in a critical context.

• Martyrdom of Early Christians: The willingness of many early Christians to die for their faith is seen as evidence of their belief in the existence of Jesus and the truth of their teachings.

• Rapid Spread of Christianity: The rapid growth and expansion of Christianity in the first few centuries after Jesus' purported death are considered by some as evidence of a historical foundation.

• The Influence of Jesus on World History: The influence of Jesus on world history is undeniable. Christianity is now one of the world's largest religions, and Jesus' teachings have had a profound impact on Western culture.

• Non-Christian Sources: There are also a few non-Christian sources that mention Jesus. These sources include the writings of the Jewish historian Josephus and the Roman historian Tacitus, who corroborate some of the basic facts about Jesus' life, such as his crucifixion. While these sources do not provide as much detail about Jesus as the New Testament, they do confirm that he was a real person who lived in the first century AD.

• The early Christian movement: The early Christian church was founded by Jesus's followers, and it quickly grew into a large and influential movement. The early Christian movement was a real historical phenomenon. There is ample evidence of the existence of this movement, including the writings of early Christian leaders, the archaeological remains of early Christian churches, and the fact that the movement eventually became one of the largest and most influential religious movements in the world. The fact that this movement existed at all is strong evidence that Jesus actually lived and that his teachings had a significant impact on his followers. They were willing to die for their beliefs, which suggests that they were convinced that Jesus was a real person.

Ultimately, the question of whether or not Jesus Christ existed is a matter of faith. There is no scientific evidence that can definitively prove or disprove his existence. However, the weight of evidence suggests that he was a real person who lived in the first century AD who had a very profound impact on the world.

Here are some additional points that are sometimes cited as evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ:

• The Shroud of Turin: The Shroud of Turin is a linen cloth that bears the image of a man who appears to have been crucified. Some people believe that the Shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus Christ. However, there is no scientific consensus on the authenticity of the Shroud.

• The archaeological remains of Nazareth: The archaeological remains of Nazareth, the town where Jesus grew up, have been excavated. These remains provide evidence of a Jewish settlement in Nazareth during the first century AD.

• The Martyrdom of the Disciples: The fact that the early Christians were willing to die for their belief in Jesus suggests that they were convinced that he was a real person who had risen from the dead.

• The Explosion of Christianity: The rapid growth of the early Christian church is difficult to explain if Jesus was not a real person.

• The Popularity of the Bible: The fact that the New Testament has been preserved and translated into so many languages suggests that it is based on a historical event.
